Why don’t they just temporarily turn the banks over to the Mafia instead of forcing taxpayers to bail them out?

We’ll be seeing many of these deadbeats’ "bad loans" all of a sudden being made good.

   Here Here! We should have never bailed them out, now they get away with bad choices and we have to pay!

   True enough.

   Problem is, once the Mafia has control of something, they don’t like to give it up.

   We’re going to need those banks back sooner or later.

   Go ask Mexican authorities how much “fun” it is to take things back from the Mafia.

   Have to take out a protection plan so their home would not get torched

   along with the death agreement if it don’t get paid back
