there are three answers to your question, depending on your characters’ levels, amount of gold your currently have, and what you like to do.
1. if you have a character that is 70 or higher, you can do daily quests for the Shattered Sun Offensive (you can get there from Shattrath, in Outlands) I haven’t done the level 80 dailys yet, so I’m not sure where they are, but any daily quests are a good way to get gold and rep!
2. farming! depending on your server’s economy and what level your character is, farming will be different. in a broad way, basically gather up all the materials for crafting you can, such as leather and hides from skinning, ore, stone, and gems from mining, or herbs from herbalism, and sell them on the AH (auction house, in any major city) you’ll normally want to pair herbalism/skinning or mining/skinning, because you have to track minerals (mining) or herbs (herbalism) and can’t track both at once, so they don’t do well together. you can also collect large amounts of cloth and sell it. cloth will drop off MOST humanoid mobs. if you have a higher level character you can farm specific items, such as Eternal Life or other drops.
3. play the AH: while this can make you the most money, at the same time it can also be the most difficult. If you try this, you’ll want to get an Auction House addon such as Auctioneer
the basic idea is to Buy Low, Sell High. you’ll buy items when you can find them cheap, then sell them for more… while the concept is simple, actually doing it takes time and experience to do well.
My advice is to do this:
1. make a bank alt. it’s much easier to buy and sell on the auction house if you have a level one (or two, or seven– just one that doesn’t move!) character in a major city, preferably near a mailbox and an AH. instead of traveling to the city to sell you wares, you can mail them from any mailbox to your bank alt in the city.
2. take up gathering professions. by gathering herbs and skinning animals in your quests while leveling, you can easily make enough to buy your epic mount by level 60. if you pay attention to what sells well, and are willing to go a bit out of your way to pick/mine/skin extra, you can make a lot of gold this way.
3. quest! while not the number one way to make gold, never overlook the fact that almost all quests will reward you with either items you can use/vendor or money. once you get into the outlands, some quests will reward you with 2-5g for quick and easy quests!
There are lots of different ways to make gold, but it depends largely on your level, gear, interests, time to devote to farming, etc. Daily quests are a good, steady way to make cash. You don’t have the risk of other methods like AH farming, and they should be achievable by pretty much everyone.
You can also run instances with friends, which is pretty profitable if you get a good group, plus you might pick up some gear you need.
Lastly, if you haven’t finished all the story quests, they can generate a lot of gold very quickly. They are also a little more entertaining than doing the same exactly thing over and over and over.
get to lovl 80 and run instances by yourself, you can make 3k a day by doing this for 5 hours
I make about 2k gold a day by farming Eternal Fire at Borean Tundra, this is only effective at 80.
farming gold ,running instances when 80,or u can get some on a website. Many ways ,i hope this helped
