What games would you say Mass effect is similar too?

I was thinking about getting this game but I dont really like out of space or anything that looks like stars war.
would you say mass effect is a game for me?I do like rpg and action/adventure games.
what games are similar to mass effect so i will have an idea of if this kind of game is for me
I like good storylines but I dont like out of space games

   i dont know but if you like good story lines like mass effect try zelda twilight princess or enny zelda only for wii though or wait until halo 3 odst comes out
