SILVER or CHROME colored characters in Neverwinter Nights?

I have Neverwinter Nights installed on my laptop running Vista.

I have the following updates installed:
Shadows of the Undrentide
Hordes of the Underdark

all people in the game are silver, clothing, weapons, hair, it’s all silver.

i remember seeing somewhere that there is a fix for this but i can not seem to find it anywhere, it’s so frustrating.

any help would REALY be appreciated. thanks in advance!
