Repair enchanted weapons, or recharge enchantments? Enchantments are recharged using charged could gems. Enchanted weapons can be repaired with hammers once you get your armorer level to at least Journeyman.

  2. Big Boss Matthias Dannflor says:

To repair enchanted items by yourself, you have to have at least level 50 Armorer (Journeyman level) and a repair hammer ( obviously)

To recharge enchanted items, you can either get someone to recharge it by paying them, each Mage’s Guild hall in each city has at least 1 person that does this.

To do it yourself, you need a soul trap spell ( to cast the most basic one, you need at least level 25 Mysticism) and a soul gem ( which can range from Petty to Grand). Find a monster to kill, and before you kill them, cast the soul trap spell on them while you have a soul gem in your inventory, kill them before the spell ends and you’ll capture their soul.

I recommend capturing Greater souls or Grand souls since they provide more “points” of energy. The points in this case might look something like this when you scroll over a weapon: “1240/1600″. A Greater Soul will recharge 1200 points, and a Grand Soul will recharge 1600 of those points ( Petty recharges 150, Lesser recharges 300, and Common recharges 800)

If you want to know what monsters have greater souls or higher, there’s a list here: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Souls

Yes there is you have to get your armorer skill up to a certain level then you can do it your self

  4. The Question Answerer (?) says:

To repair an enchanted item by urself, u need atleast armorer in lvl 50 ( or 35 – with the Fighters Castle “add-on” installed )

If u lack the skill to repair enchanted items, u can pay a repair-guy to repair ur items. ( some vendors do it )

To recharge the enchanment on the weapon, there is a couple of ways to do it:

    -Soul Gems
You can use filled soul gems ( ranging from patty soul gem to black soul gem )
To fill theese gems, u can use a weapon with a soul trap enchant on, or use a soul trap spell to capture the enemies soul. How this works : use the soul trap spell on ur opponent, and kill him before the time on the spell runs out. hit him with the weapon with the soul trap enchant, and kill him before the time on the spell runes out.

    -Varla Stones
Varla stones is “rare” items found in aylied ruins. Using theese Varla Stones automatticly fills all the “magic items” (enchanted weapons) that u have in ur bag. The items stored in containers wont do it, they must be in ur inventory. Using theese Varla Stones sometimes feels like a waste, since when they have been used, they “dissapear” when u use them, they are “consumed” and is removed from ur inventory.

    -Mages Guild
Mages Guild Halls ( found in all citys in oblivion ) always has atleast one mage that can recharge your magic items. This is very expensive, depending on how powerful the enchant on your weapon is.

    Good Luck.
