Depends on the story line. It always works to have the town named (Insert name)ville and have that namesake be a part of the lore (i.e., everyone knows the name, but no one seems to know anything about the person for whom it was named).
Look up names of towns in places like Iowa – it has probably the greatest amount of strangely named small towns in the US. Look up words like “unspeakable”, “deadly”, “sinister”, etc. in different languages and find one that sounds cool.
how about Erie or Hell
Ravenwood, Land’s End, Jericho, I’ll have to think of some more.
Lochsilver
Moorhurst

Esterson Point
Redwheat
Blackshadow Edge
Lorston
Westlight
Why not call it Iscariot?
