How many bodyguards would a mafia don have?

I want to know because i am writing a novel on the mafia and the main character is the most powerful don in the country. I have said he has 15 bodyguards but i don’t know if i should shrink the number or if that is about right.

I don’t know… Just count how many Obama has and you have the answer.

2 or 3 in the open, and then some that you don’t know are bodyguards bcuz they don’t have the get-up.

  3. Denis L says:

It depends how special the person is in the mafia. 15-30 at most.

  4. death says:

depends on how rich he is and if he feels like hes in danger of being “whacked” anywere from 2 thru 10 but they dont make it obvious they are guarding him they just walk around and keep him in their site

Are you gathering information so you can try to do a hit on a mafia don, or are you wanting to know if your area mafia don has less than the average number of body-guards so you can apply for a job?

Nobody would know how many a mafia don would have, except the don and those who are keeping tabs on him (i.e.- rival mob groups, FBI, etc). It would probably vary with his finances, his importance, his sense of paranoia/preparedness, and where he was going (his purposes) and thus there is no set or fixed answer.

  6. ? says:

Depends where he is going and what he is doing. 3 minimum.

None, the Mafia doesn’t exist. Now fugedaboutit!
