How do you make maps on Half Life 2 Deathmatch for PC?

I want to make maps on half life 2 deathmatch for PC, but i dont know what program i need to use. Please list what the program is and if it is free or not. Thanks!
Go into Steam, and into the “Tools” tab. In there, you will find a program called “Source SDK”. Open that up, and once you have it set up, (make sure that you have the correct game selected at the bottom of the screen), click on “Hammer”. This is the map editor that you can use. It’s free if you own half life 2, half life 2 deathmatch, or any source-powered game (source is the engine that half-life 2: deathmatch uses).
Ya i need help with this to i mean ive been trying to make one for ages but steam is awesome
