How do you connect your xbox 360 to xbox live through a computer that connects wireless?

I am trying to connect my xbox 360 to xbox live. The only way to do that without buying the 100 wireless adapter is to run it to the computer in my room. My computer connects to the internet wirelessly.

hhmmm. Ok you are thinking backwards now. You can connect wireless device if the computer is PLUGED into the internet.
Buying the the $100 adaptor is your best bet but you could also try

for your computer to connect wirelessly you must have a wireless ethernet router. does your router not have an extra ethernet port you can plug into? buying a cat 5 or 6 ethernet cable would work out a lot cheaper for you.
