Do you know if the Nintendo Wii will ever release a Punch Out game?

My favorite game from the 8-bit NES is Mike Tyson’s Punch Out and Super Punch Out from the SNES. I think it would be really cool if the Wii would try to revive the series on it’s console. Is there any word from Nintendo on a possible Punch Out game being released for the Wii?

It is possible. There are a bunch of rumors going around that Nintendo might remake Punch Out for the Wii, but nothing is official.
I don’t see why they wouldn’t. It was a pretty popular game and the wiimote seems perfect for that type of game. Nintendo also published it originally, so they have all the rights to it (as far as I know).
I wouldn’t be surprised if Nintendo was already working on it.
Neat idea, if Nintendo decided to revive the series… but guesses are slim to none it’ll never happen! Wait for E308 for big Nintendo announcement for the later of the upcomming year!
Also DUH, the NES Punch Out is already on the Wii, you can download the game from the Wii Shop Channel!
go online on your nintendo wii and you can download old nintendo games. I have mike tysons punch out downloaded. It is 5 dollars or 500 wii points.
