Or transform yourself into the Master Chief, the surgically enhanced super soldier from Halo 3. That’s just badass!

My Brute Bear v. Panther

The bear can take more damage and individual hits do more damage. It’s intimidating to look at and often strikes fear in the heart of your opponent – of course that confers no actual benefit to fighting ability!

The panther is often referred to as a wolf, it’s actually called a panther in game. The panther hits more often. This is a big advantage in that it keeps your opponent from doing damage to you.

With 2 brutes similarly equipped, one with panther, one with bear the panther brute will win approximately 11 out of 20 fights. So in the end, they are VERY close, but the panther has a slight edge.

How do you get a MyBrute bear or wolf? You won’t get a wolf, ’cause it’s actually called a panther in the game. But anyway…

The trick is that if you join MyBrute as a pupil of someone with a bear or panther, you have an increased chance of getting a special animal. Keep in mind, it’s not a guarantee. You’ll still want to level up – the chances increase as your brute gets older.

The following summary has been compiled using info from CONFIRMED My Brute owners of bears and panthers.

Summary: 1. Start Brutes as a pupil of someone with a bear or panther (IMGame has a Panther). 2. Use different IP addresses (WiFi or friend’s computers). 3. Boys more likely to get bears, girls more likely to get panthers. 5. You must go to level 2 at a minimum – you should continue to level 3 or 4.

EDIT 4/09: GameGod emailed this: “This strategy to get a bear or wolf does work. However, it’s much more effective for first few brutes created per IP address. I got my first bear when I joined under IMGame from my Mom’s house. Then I got a panther (girl brute) when I joined from Panera (WiFi). I have not gotten a bear or panther from my home computer…”

Got a Panther with my 3rd brute at level 3. I have another tip: Brutes that start with VERY low health points are more likely to get bears / panthers.”

Is Guitar Hero III Legendary?

When Guitar Hero first started out there were certainly people who were skeptical of it and whether it would have any kind of success. It took off, and companies scrambled to create some other things like it to cash in on the fame. The most notable of those attempts was Rock Band.
While it’s popular, it never achieved the status of Guitar Hero, and it doesn’t look like it ever will.

That’s ok, because Guitar Hero is here to stay. With the third game in the franchise there are a few things that are new and take some getting used to, and some habits that you learned in Guitar Hero II will have to be ‘unlearned’ to make you effective in Guitar Hero III, but most serious gamers won’t mind. The joy of having another Guitar Hero game to play will usually be much more important than any little changes that have to be made.

The game is almost viral in the sense that so many people play it, get their friends involved, and devote so much of their spare time and energy to it. Some things have gotten easier, but the game is still both fun and challenging.

Does Halo3 Live up to the Hype?

There are a lot of people who say it’s overhyped and not what they’d hoped. These people seem to be in the minority, however, because most people who are following the trilogy of Halo are very, very happy with what Halo3 has to offer. The game is fast-paced, the graphics are intense, and – most importantly – there is a conclusion this time. This is the last game in the Halo series and it finishes things off nicely. There is no cliffhanger ending. There is no wondering whether there will be another game and what will happen in it. For all of those Halo gamers out there who were just waiting for the main character to finish the fight, he did. Completely.

For most hardcore gamers, the ‘normal’ mode of play on Halo3 will be too easy. The game is designed to make sure that almost everyone can play it, but that means that it had to be made a bit easier than the serious gamers would have liked.

The downside to the game, though, is that some of the surrounding side-stories that were seen in Halo2 have gone away, and some people might miss those.

Starcraft 2 Multiplayer Thrills the Masses

There are a lot of gamers out there anxiously awaiting the playing of Starcraft 2 in its multiplayer version, but there is also some concern that the multiplayer option won’t be available on the first release of the game.

There will be three separate games in the series, and each one of them will be a single player game with a multiplayer option. The details of how all of that works and how each one of them can be changed to a multiplayer game will be addressed at a later date. It’s been said, though, that the game will be a lot better and get there a lot faster than gamers expect, which is promising.

Apparently, there will be great multiplayer action on each of the separate games so a person won’t need to have all three of them to enjoy that feature. They’ll be ready to go with only one game. The makers of Starcraft 2 are being very secretive about it, though, and not releasing too many details of how it’s going to work. They’ve got a lot of gamers waiting impatiently to find out.

Gears of War 2 Has Minor Glitches

It’s not that Gears of War 2 isn’t a good game, but there are some problems with it, and that keeps it from being as great as it possibly could be. Sometimes the story can be a little bit predictable, and there are some glitches that really shouldn’t be there based on how long this game took to develop and how much work went into it.

Most of the bugs that are there are the same ones that were seen in the first game, and that’s all the more reason why they shouldn’t be in the second one. The biggest complaint, though, is the battle with the lake monster boss. It feels like it came from Resident Evil or something similar.

Some of the dialogue is also kind of corny, the ‘one button does it all’ idea has some problems, and the color palette could use an update. Oh, and you have to be standing right where the developer wants you to stand for things to work the way that they’re supposed to, which can get annoying. For most dedicated Gears of War gamers, though, those things are minor technicalities.

Marines Love Call of Duty 5

It’s no secret. Call of Duty 5 is a great game for anyone in the military. Recently, a group of gamers got to take on some marines and play against one another. The gamers won, but the marines still loved the game.

One of the most likely reasons that the marines enjoyed it so much is that it’s pretty realistic. The gamers might have been able to beat them, but they were only doing it on the game. The marines do it for real, and they do it every day in scary places where it’s not safe to go to sleep at night, but they are there anyway, depending freedom and justice.

The game is similar in the sense that the scenes that you’re fighting in are based on real battles that took place in the past. They are in places like Makin Island, Peleliu, and Berlin. There are Japanese to fight, there are Soviets, and there are Nazis. For the serious history buff and war gamer, it’s hard to beat Call of Duty 5.

Far Cry 2 has a lot more than a gamer would bargain for. It’s set in Africa, which is one of the most beautiful gaming scenes ever created, and there is a true open world of game play just there for the taking. Next generation, high definition technology brings the game to life and helps to make the scenery into something very dynamic, which makes the game better than it otherwise would have been, although the game play itself is certainly high quality and eventful.

With environments that are completely destructible and artificial intelligence that makes the enemy interact in a non-scripted way, it’s truly revolutionary in a lot of different ways. Having a multiplayer option is also important, so that more than one person can enjoy the game at a time.

Being immersed in an African state that’s war-torn might not sound like a lot of fun, but the game is riveting and captivating – it’s not like anything else out there. You can also get new downloads for the game that will give you new vehicles, new weapons, and new options, so you’ll always have something more to explore.

When you play Warhammer online, it’s supposed to culminate in you (or your character) sacking the city of the enemy, but that’s easier said than done, of course. Just getting the gates open can take a really long time, and it can be process that starts quite a while back and continues throughout a lot of the game.
You’ll need to pay attention to fortresses and to zones, and it’s the kind of game that you have to build on. You can’t jump in and go straight for the end, and you can’t just expect to do well right at first. These kinds of games are a lot different than the more ‘typical’ video games, and people who aren’t sure what to expect when they get involved with a role playing game couldn’t do much better at getting an education than they could with Warhammer.

While it’s involved and sometimes complex, there is a lot of strategy involved and the game is one that can be played and explored for a long time. When you get started, focus on the fortresses.
